About the Job
About the Job:
It's 8:30pm. A parent walks in holding a child with a fever, already deep into a spiral of "should I be worried?"

They didn't want to wait days for an appointment. They didn't want to go to urgent care and see someone who doesn't know kids.

That's why we built KidsWatch.

We're a different kind of pediatric practice — one that doesn't close at 5pm, doesn't make families wait days for care, and doesn't force them to choose between urgent care and a pediatrician who actually knows their child.

What This Role Looks Like:
You'll provide a mix of:
  • Well child visits (scheduled, protected time).
  • Same-day sick visits (because kids don't get sick on a schedule).

Some families will choose to see you consistently. Others will walk in needing help right now. Both matter here. This is not a traditional panel-based role, but it still allows for real relationships with families who come back to you.

Why Join KidsWatch?
  • Impact & Purpose: Deliver high-quality pediatric care in a fast-paced, supportive practice that combines primary care, same-day sick visits, and telemedicine.
  • Excellent Compensation & Benefits: Competitive full-time salary plus a comprehensive benefits package (details below).
  • Supportive Culture: Work alongside a strong support team — two MAs per shift — so you can focus on care, not logistics.
  • Work-Life Balance: We believe in real work-life balance — flexible scheduling designed to fit your life, not just the practice's needs.
  • Professional Growth: Help build and shape a modern model of pediatric care from the ground up.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform well child visits and preventative care, including newborn through adolescent exams and immunizations.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common pediatric illnesses, injuries, and acute conditions.
  • Manage a mix of scheduled and walk-in patients, ensuring efficient and high-quality care for both.
  • Perform minor procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage, and splinting as needed.
  • Order and interpret basic labs on-site.
  • Educate families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and aftercare.
  • Work closely with a highly trained MA team to maintain smooth patient flow.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to ensure an optimal patient and family experience.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Pediatrics.
  • Active Virginia medical license (or eligibility).
  • Pediatric primary care, urgent care, or outpatient experience preferred.
  • Comfortable performing common in-office procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a culturally aware, family-centered approach to care.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive full-time salary, with transparent, shift-based structure and no productivity pressure during the initial growth phase. As patient volume grows, performance-based incentives may be added.
  • Health Insurance.
  • Dental and Vision Insurance.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan.
  • Malpractice Insurance.
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) Allowance.
  • License & Certification Reimbursement.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays.

Who This Is Great For:
  • Pediatricians who want flexibility without losing clinical depth.
  • Physicians seeking a full-time role with variety — combining continuity of care with acute, same-day visits.
  • Providers who enjoy both well-child care and urgent pediatric issues.
  • Clinicians who want to help build a modern model of pediatric care.

About KidsWatch Pediatrics:
KidsWatch Pediatrics is a modern pediatric practice focused on making care more accessible, responsive, and family-centered. We bring together primary care, same-day sick visits, and telemedicine into one cohesive model, with hours designed around how families actually live.

We were built on a simple idea: parents should not have to wait days for care or choose between convenience and quality. Whether it's a newborn visit, a same-day illness, or a late-evening concern, our team is here when families need us most.

Our providers deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care across all stages of childhood. With on-site capabilities such as labs and procedures, we provide efficient care without unnecessary delays or referrals.

We serve a diverse Northern Virginia community and are committed to culturally aware, patient-centered care. Building trust with families from different backgrounds is central to how we practice.

KidsWatch is designed to be different — a place where access, continuity, and clinical excellence come together to create a better experience for both families and the clinicians who care for them.

If this sounds like the kind of medicine you want to practice, we'd love to talk.
